Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSoM) is amongst the first 6 business schools in India to be awarded the AACSB accreditation.
In October 2020, the school was rechristened as Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSoM) with Padma Bhushan awardee Prof. Jagdish Sheth taking over as the Chairman of the Board of Governors. The school also added eminent international faculty and industry professionals as board members.
Post the rechristening of the school, there has been a significant shift not only in the admission processes, but also in the teaching learning experience, the accreditation & rankings, as well as the placements at the school.
In February 2022, JAGSoM was re-accredited by the prestigious AACSB international, the gold standard of accreditation for top business schools across the world. JAGSoM’s BBA, PGDM, Executive PGDM and MBA programs offered across two campuses (Bangalore and Karjat – Greater Mumbai) are now accredited by AACSB

Global Thinker & Padma Bhushan Awardee Dr Jagdish Sheth has accepted to rename IFIM Business School Bangalore in his name as the Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSOM). Prof Jagdish Sheth is globally known for his scholarly contributions in the marketing, competitive strategy, and geopolitical analysis. Professor Sheth has over 50 years of combined experience in teaching and research at the University of Southern California, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Columbia University, MIT, and Emory University. Prof Sheth he has been advisor to numerous companies including Whirlpool, Motorola, AT&T, WIPRO, Aditya Birla Group, E&Y, Hughes Corporation, and others. He has published numerous books and award-winning articles. Professor Sheth has been advisor to the Government of Singapore in repositioning the nation for the future. He has also been the policy advisor to the U.S. Government about the future of the telecommunications industry. Recognizing his achievements, Government of India conferred him with the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award in 2020.
JAGSOM takes off from the many recent achievements of IFIM B-School, which is well known for its focus on employability-oriented curriculum and strong industry-interface. In 2018, IFIM became only the 6th B-school in India to be accredited by AACSB International. Recently, IFIM was ranked by QS Masters in Marketing Ranking 2021 amongst the Top 100 such programs (in 51-100 band) in the World for its PGDM Marketing program. The renaming of the school will result in higher visibility in the global arena.
JAGSoM offers 4 Majors in BBA: Marketing Major, Finance Major, HRM Major, and Analytics & Digital Business. JAGSoM also offers interdisciplinary majors from partner schools which are Communication Design, Music and Entertainment Management and Legal Studies. These programs are targeted to groom professionals who are domain specialists and at the same time, can appreciate the interplay of various functions of management.
