Dr Vittal Rangan specialized in work engagement in the social sector in his doctoral program at IIM, Indore. For more than 20 years he has helped organizations cultivate, manage and grow their human resources through targeted interventions across the HR domain viz. rewards, recognition, productivity enhancement, career advancement, HR management systems and employee engagement. His experience spans across manufacturing (Asian Paints), information technology (Mahindra Satyam) and BFSI sectors (Aditya Birla Life, Chola DBS, ESAF, HDFC Life, Ujjivan).
In his past leadership roles, Dr Vittal has helped his employers and clients grow up the ranks to feature among India’s Best Companies to Work For. He has received many HR Awards for new initiatives from his employers. He has been a speaker in industry forums (CII, Microfinance Summit, Women’s World Banking) in India and abroad.
Dr Vittal’s Case Study (along with Dr Sushanta Mishra) has been adjudged as one of the Global Top 10 cases in the ISB-Ivey Global Case Competition, 2017. His research has been published in peer-reviewed Indian and International journals of repute. His articles/interviews have been published in the Human Capital Magazine, The Economic Times.
Dr Vittal’s research interests include work engagement and financial inclusion.
